About Brooks & Brian
Two friends doing what they love
Brooks and Brian: Product Design Studio was founded by two friends who met in design school over 20 years ago. In that time, we've honed our skills at top companies, creating products used by millions, and have been awarded a combined 38 patents. Now we're using our superpowers to help everyday entrepreneurs bring their ideas from concept to reality.

Brooks Vaughan
Brooks Vaughan's journey in user experience and design began with a Bachelor of Industrial Design from the University of Louisiana. After landing a job at HP before graduation, Brooks then spent a remarkable 16 years at Hewlett Packard (HP/HPE). At HP, he played a pivotal role in crafting innovative products that garnered multiple design awards and secured over 30 patents. He was an active contributor to hundreds of usability studies, shaping products with real user-centric insights.

Brian Canova
Brian Canova’s lifelong calling for conceiving ingenious products led him to pursue an Industrial Design degree at the University of Louisiana. Brian was lead designer at KC Kayaks, then was Chief Design Officer At Raximus outdoors and most recently BBQGuys have achieved category-redefining success across tools, appliances and outdoor products. He has steered hundreds of items from preliminary sketches into optimized, functioning end goods. A tireless inventor at heart, Brian has proven to be innovative designer.
